Disney wanted another "Princess" picture for the sake of "the brand"(Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella and the like), but therein lies the problem, those are fairytales, Pocahontas was a real, historical figure, who died tragically young. Crowbarring in what is basically magic, and that stupid love story between her and Smith, aging her up to a young woman, who's in love with him, does a great disservice to the real, brave young woman. Disney should stick to fairytales and leave history to the historians. It was said, at the time, in 1995, that Disney would meet with Native Americans, and talk with them, to get a more balanced perspective. Early on, it was said that she would have been portrayed at the young age she was in real life, that she would only speak in her people's language at first, that she would slowly learn how to speak English, to be closer to history. Unfortunately, the bigwigs at Disney scraped the more historical approach, going with the buxom, Indian maiden who goes wild for John Smith, who looks like a blonde surfer dude, with Mel Gibson's voice.

Also, i’m offended you would say Anastasia and that interesting from what I heard of an historical record she was seen as a intelligent, funny prankster that could light up a room. It was very intelligent, and each of her siblings were also seen as very unique and interesting in their own right being one of the few things, that the Russian citizens could actually like about the royal family, even though they hated their guts

For the most part, I forgive this unlike Pocahontas because the myth of Anastasia and the history of Anastasia are very different to me. At least I feel like it’s very clear that this is a fantasy, considering that most people who just know a little bit of information about the actual Anastasia knows that she was never found and that she’s probably dead so I see more Russian than a complete insensitive portrayal also there were many women at the time that claimed to be princess Anastasia so that’s also a key factor I of course, don’t like certain parts of this movie for historical and accuracy like the way they treat Rasputin or the fact that they never show Anastasia siblings or the romance between Anastasia and Dimitri. I kind of questioned the same way I questioned John Smith and Pocahontas as being false, which makes it kind of creepy when you think about it and well yes overall I would prefer something more close to the actual story of Anastasia. I still think it’s a good movie and not as bad as Pocahontas.

To be fair, some of the changes in the 2023 live action remake such as *Ariel killing Ursula in the climax, Ariel singing about her first time on land (albeit through her inner thoughts), and Ariel’s multiracial sisters* existed in the 2007 Broadway show of the same name. In fact, alongside “Splash”, the 2007 Broadway show is a better live action remake of “The Little Mermaid”.

If I wanted to watch a live-action version of Disney’s “The Little Mermaid”, I will watch “Splash” (1984) instead. Sure, “Splash” was released by “Touchstone Pictures”, but since “Touchstone Pictures” was a LABEL created by Disney in order to release “mature content” without undermining the wholesome “Disney brand”, “Splash” still counts as a DISNEY film. Heck, “The Little Mermaid” was initially rejected by Michael Eisner and Jeffrey Katzenberg out of concern that it sounded *too similar* to “Splash”. Well, it’s no “Splash: The Musical”! 😂 For those who don’t get the joke, it’s the name of a fictional Broadway musical (albeit based on a real 1984 film) that was produced by the fictional Oliver Putnam in the Hulu series “Only Murders in the Building”.

You know, i had a rather intersting idea they could have put in there : The happier the thought is, the lighter you are and the higher you can go. It is, in my mind, a good addition to the simple magic system of the original while also staying true to it's whimsical nature.

I did it. I managed to watch the Fourth one and did I hate it or did I love it well? It was actually not bad. It was actually good. I mean I know there are people saying it was. Terrible and honestly not good but frankly. It actually got mean to smile because I love the first one so much. And it really did had references of it like if you're a fan of the first movie and the second one, maybe a little bit of the third 1. Then you will love the fourth one and frankly. I actually loved it like it was a little short. Honestly, but it could have been better. Could have been better seeing all three Popular villains from both 3 of the movies was honestly felt cheating a little bit because I'm not going to worry about their death anyway. But seeing the villain, the first movie I was so giddy like no joke. I couldn't tell you how smiling I was. But yeah, this move we was okay in some points, the villain. The villa was okay. Honestly, I didn't hate her. I just thought she did a really good job. She could have gotten better honestly, but I really did enjoy the villain and as for this movie, though. The humor was off, but it got me to laugh a little bit But I enjoyed it and with all this is the whole movie. I was really going to give it a 6 out of 10 button now. I'm gonna give it a 7 out of 10 like if you're a fan of the first one, you will love the fourth 1 I mean. What do you guys think I know what y'all are probably going to say like. Almost unrelated to this review, but, Bob Iger needs to step down as CEO of Disney permanently this time. Because it's clear that he's served for way too long as CEO, and he's been making some pretty bad decisions recently, especially with live action remakes. Similar to Michael Eisner in the mid-2000s, while he did have success previously, he made so many bad decisions, especially with the animation department, and so, it was clear he needed to resign, and after a long petition from Roy Jr., he eventually did. I think Bob Iger needs to do the same thing, and maybe Abigail Disney should start another "Save Disney" campaign like her dad did twice, which successfully got rid of Ron Miller and Mike Eisner. As for who I would pick as CEO if I had the choice, I'd go with Pete Doctor. Because, incase you don't know, Inside Out was originally a completely different film, known as Newt, which was just Blue Sky's Rio, but instead of birds, it stars salamanders, but, because it was likely to be a generic film, it was altered and reworked into a different concept, known as Inside Out. I could see him doing the same thing for all of the live action remakes, he could take them and throw them in the bin and say "I have a better idea with this concept." Now, once Iger does step down (Which he will, careers and lives don't last forever.) I doubt he will pick Pete as his successor, but, it would be the best case scenario for Disney.

I like this movie like I watched it 4 times even if I'm not so old it's an interesting movie but the end is really mid.

I would reccomend watching the Netflix Kung Fu Panda spinoff show that came out two years ago. It’s okay but it’s way better than the fourth film. The villains are good not as good as Shen or Tai Lung but way better than Chameleon for sure. I’d recommend it if you want something better.

If there is a villain that I love, it would have to be Dio Brando from Jojo's Bizarre Adventures.
